Competition Format:
· Teams of 12 – 15 participants
· Up to 20 teams can participate in the competition
· Teams must have at least one player on court at all times for the duration of the 24 hours – note: 2 minute breaks are permitted every 13 minutes
· Squash and Racquetball may be played – singles or doubles – players on court to choose which discipline, if players are undecided then a toss of a racquet between the two players will decide.
· Games are to be played using PAR (point a rally) scoring
· World Squash Federation Rules of Squash apply
· The team captain (or appointed representative) is responsible for rostering players on court in 13 minute blocks
· The order, duration and number of times a team member plays is at the discretion of the team
· Each team must keep track of the points accumulated using the score sheet provided
· Two teams per court and teams are rotated every few hours to enable all teams to play each other
Winning Team – Points
· 1 point for every $1 fundraised by the team
· 1 point for every 10 game points won – based on the score sheets completed by each team
The points from the two criteria are added together to determine the overall winning team.
Rules and Regulations
· Maximum of 15 players per team
· Maximum of two players per team are permitted on court at any one time
· Players will be required to wear the official wristband provided upon registration
· Participants under the age of 18 must provide written consent from a parent or legal guardian
· Protective eyewear that complies with Squash Australia regulations is compulsory for all players 19 years and younger and must be worn at all times when on court
· Unsportsmanlike behaviour will not be tolerated and will be grounds for instant disqualification
· The 24 Hour Mega Squash & Racquetball event is strictly a smoke, drug and alcohol free event
